HI so i have (with 2 Patterns with same sequence pattern steps but with a change of scale between both so i can create more modern melody sequence or progression with my “Circuit Tracks” Synth Track. i want to be able to access some notes or patterns from 1 scale and another scale other wise i just cannot create the atmosphere i want, whether its some minors with other sale or key of minors, even if i switch during playback sequencing i discover of course that playing 1 pattern, then trying to switch to a different pattern 2 on same SYNTH track thinking I can simply access these notes by using the scale change on pattern 1 and pattern 2 of this SYNTH track, but its basically forcing all of the patterns to move to the scale based on whatever scale i choose for those two patterns , which is not what i want. Any recommendations how I can obtain this setup? Simply a Trance EDM style sequence ARP’ing through the melody progressively I want.
I have a Model:Samples but i dont have this synth track sound exactly setup on my MS so i prefer to do this on my circuit tracks.
The only way I know to do what you’re asking is by using the chromatic “scale” mode. It should be the very last option on the second row when selecting scales. It will allow all 12 notes to be played in the same pattern. If you’re accustomed to finding your melodies using a different scale mode like natural minor, you can do that first I believe, and then select chromatic to be able to add other notes in from another key or scale.
Edit: another thing you can think about doing is using separate Projects. The Circuit Tracks has scale modes that apply to a whole project, but it also allows you to change seamlessly between two Projects while playing and performing. So if you have two identical projects in separate scales, I believe changing projects while in Play mode would do what you’re asking.
Cool thanks a bunch ; Yes very true and I’ve been making entire projects with one project slot hahaha ugh; but it’s no worries I can connect any projects too or do this more as the workflow (if I know I’ll need scale/key range changes) .
Thanks, I can go ahead and start using project slots that can switch as seamless groups for patterns and scales if it requires another project slot ,
Can a circuit tracks project automate going back and forth to playback project 1 for 16 steps then project 2 for 16steps then back to project 1 for processing to regular structure like staying on the Project 1 that handles Intro-Build-Breakdown (if it stays in one scale or key range) then Project 2 for chorus/Drop with its own scale range.
Like patterns I can press all three at once and release it will save to play those in those order all through until it loops back again. The same idea for project slots to press them all at once I’m curious if it will auto play them then loop back ?
Unfortunately anything in the project slot world is a manual effort.
One pro tip though: if you press the next project slot, it will play once the sequence has finished. If you hold shift and press the next project slot it will jump instantly.
And is there a faster way to copy a project to another project empty slot? Or is it mostly just with the tool: Components online or standalone software?
Next is if you listen to this trance edm track by Ferry Corsten - Chaos https://youtu.be/LaMVa8eTmyU?si=GMcMNEnhpq2J_kY- the 00:10 second mark start it has the building stab synth that’s comes in: what hardware synth keyboard instrument will get me that sound? If it’s economical priced versus 1 trendy keyboard synth this artist producer might be holding in his studio? Or for live performance? (Not software synths, just hardware with sequencer or no sequencer just MIDI controllable with a sequencer controller).
The quickest way to do this, is to simply press save, select a diferent project slot, turn the knob if you want to change the colour of the new project slot, then press save again. I do this often, to create variations. Pro tip: You can’t switch synth presets within one project. But you can by switching projects where that project makes use of a different preset.
