A case for multiple elektron boxes

Hello everyone. Im excited and proud to say i just ordered an analog rytm. Can’t wait till it arrives! I’m already a proud owner of an analog four and an octarack and I’m wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a travel case. I have an ecc2 that the octatrack lives in so I’m looking for something to safely hold the A4 and AR together. Ideally i can have the 2 bags on my shoulders and be done with it. If a 1 case solution is available I’ll take that too. Thanks!

every time i read the title i feel like you’ll be making an argument for owning multiple elektron boxes.

Another option, although slightly more expensive, is these by Company of Quail:

Excellent build quality, very robust!

the buchla style seem to be very cool
I wonder about the coolin holes in the analog machines sides…

The side vents are safe to cover - question has been asked of Elektron multiple times.

I have both Rytm and A4 running fine in the metal cases I linked, no problem.

That quail case looks perfect! Pretty pricey though… Having just dropped so much dough on an AR i won’t have the bread for a case for a while.

an additional question… does anyone have any leads on a flight case or gig bag that would safely hold(3) elektron boxes? I have an OT, A4 and AR and i’d like a 1 case solution for traveling with them. I feel like I may want to play a gig somewhere in the neighborhood soon. If the case could somehow fit all (3) PSU’s, and any and all cables that’d be a plus. And if it could safely fit my doepfer dark energy i’d be stoked. Thanks!

I know not everyone is handy with a screw gun and a table saw, maybe a router. However if you are building a custom case is fairly simple and cheap, if you take your time and do it right.

You could also modify a DJ coffin or a rectangular guitar case.

hello all.
I’ve been hunting for a perfect case to travel with.
this is my final solution. “Pelican 1615 Air check-in case”
If any of you guys are planning to get one of these, please note that
the very bottom foam is a bit too thick. Cutting is needed. but other than that, dimentions are perfect.
they have a, so called, “Trekpak” solution. if you can afford extra few 100 for that, even better.

Yep, I was expecting a strong and persuasive argument.

I love my companyofquail EIT-1s! Although, he says they are discontinued, which makes me sad.

However, it’s not a travel case like the Pelican. That looks like the way to go.

Hey man - looking for some int’l flight safe options for my hardware. Any regrets with this solution?

I was hoping for this!

The gig bag is pretty cool.

Hey hey. I’ve been traveling a lot with this case.
After two years with Pelican, never had a single problem.
My gear are always safe and sound.
I’m always wrapping the case with bubble-wrap for extra care(before check-in).
But please note that the hinges can go a bit loose so better if you duck tape it.
other than that, its a piece of mind.
hope that helps.

It’s a tight fit, but I’m very happy with this. And very reasonably priced as well at 78 euro at the moment of writing.
