I’m investigating a lot, but there are still some points that I do not can reply myself, or I’m confused due to pretty different replies in the forum (and the manual does not leave it clear enough). Here we go:
Can you shift/rotate/shuffle steps midi sequences or normal tracks towards left/right?
When you’re realtime recording midi or normal samples, the new data you introduce in realtime overwrite the old one, right? (this is my prefered behavior).
Can you record in realtime midi notes lenght?
Is there a simple shuffle/swing command avaliable? or only microtimming? Microtiming seems slow to setup.
Yes to 1, 2 & 3. Though only midi output note length can be recorded (OT midi output, I think you can route this back in to OT if you wish tho to record note length in real time on audio tracks…). internal sequence trips will play a sample until it ends or a new trig begins. The note length can be individually set with p-locks. Not sure about shuffle/swing, I’ve seen the shuffle page but not dug in to it yet. Looks more detailed than the ‘one knob for swing’ controls I’ve used in past but not sure if it can also be used simply.
Yeah, there is a swing command quickly availiable. It works like this: you set the amount of swing with a knob but then you can select single sequencer steps to be affected by the swing. By default (like in every machine/daw) the swing is set to work on every even step, but you can alter that in any way you see fit.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the OT’s power supply plug (the part that fits into the back of the machine) has a center posiive or negative polarity?
