So spent a few hours with the Octatrack but this time with nu “input”. As usual i had three pickup machines and the rest flex machines playing back the pickup machines… track 4 had a sample, for a while. the Pickup machines were sampling the main, or at least other tracks,.
What i found was that this could produce itnernal feedback that sort of acts as oscillators, and then the “melodies” on some flex tracks resampled into muted melodies, with the tone from the feedback… And it became sort of FUN::
So this is “live” one take balancing feedback and volumes, and have some fun settings on the fader…

Sounds awesome!
Thanks!
Ooo, nice!
Sounds like you pulled open your OT and circuit bent it with a bit of R2D2
Thanks guys,
Yeah I don’t know how R2D2 got there… it sort of just happened when i let the pickup machines re-sample main. and then replay, at the same time, in some flex machines with sequencing. I guess the Elektron guys planted some R2D2 Dna into the Octatrack, sort of pre bent it for us…
I have about 20 minutes more of cool stuff recorded with the some setup…
