909 day - D16 Drumazon for €29 / $29 - still worth it?

I have most of the older D16 effects plugins that were released in the late 00s to early 10s and use them often. This one is pretty long in the tooth too. I have a Digitakt but no VST drum machines. I have a few rad VST synths though (Circle 2, Aalto, U-He ACE). Even for the sale price, is this VST drum machine still relevant? Are there better options out there that aren’t over $100? It doesn’t have to be a 909 plugin, but just a VST drum machine that’s good for all sorts of techno. The FAW SubLab looks cool at only $40 sale but seems to be restricted to just 808 style sub-basses. Thanks!

i’ve always liked it for prototyping ideas, the sounds are nice and tweakable but not too complicated. the option to route the sounds through different outputs is also helpful.

hopefully theyll get around to making VST3 version (of this and there other plugs) soon

It’s sounds pretty good. Needs some saturation to make it bang though. Tbh I add saturation to everything though.

You’re best off buying that Wave Alchemy thingy where there multisampled/round robined,/recorded alt version through fancy outboard imo.

I am still very happy with the Samples from Mars bundle. You can load the kits in Ableton for a seamless integration with Push but also put them in your Elektron boxes or any other sampler.
