Okay, considering I’ve spent a shitload of money on gear this week I didn’t save jack.
But still, I’mma buy a pizza!

PS There’s also a huge sale with monthly coupons at Universal Audio if anyone else has a UAD card they use.
Got Fatso for $154 . . .

uuuh…ouch!

Wait till black friday & it’ll be even cheaper!!!

Oh, &
PS: the sale is extended till monday (06-15)

I have an original iConnectMidi; I wonder if that would do the trick? Hmmmmm! It works with my OP-1 controlling Elektrons. The only problem I see is if Note mode on Push requires Live to function properly.
An iconnectmidi won’t work. Push won’t work unless it’s doing its secret handshake with live.
Which is probably not public info (hence secret)…arggghhh…too bad! Thanks vf for chiming in!
Found this! Not so secret apparently…this could work!

Dear Push Geeks of the forum,

do you know if this is possible?

If yes, this can be the key to buy Push.

Thank you for an answer.

All the best,

waldemaR

waldemaR, unfortunately after a lot of googling, I have not found one shred of evidence that Push can be used without being tethered to a PC/Mac. All the fancy Note/Chord entry features appear to be part of Live, not purely on Push. Even if you get a USB-to-MIDI adapter (it has no MIDI out port) like iConnect or Bomes, you can maybe coax it to spit out a few notes from the pads. That’s about it.
I wouldn’t get this with the main idea of using it w/o Live.

Dear poonti,
thank you for coming back.
I do this too + i write Stray from nativekontrol an E-Mail, but i didn’t get a response until know.
Like you not interested.
I have Live 9 Suite but only to can Push use with this, no thank you.
All the best,

Midi Translator Pro should do the trick. (And hence BomeBox when it is released).
I did find links to Push control in the MTPro forum in the past.

Thanks for the heads up on this one!

Ahh, thanks Goseba. I’ll investigate this path next.

When my new Push arrives I will have to have a play myself to see what can be done.

Maybe too late to buy one for a good price

I had Push from the last sale and it’s definitely the definitive controller for Live 9.

I got Surreal Machines - Dub Machines during this sale. The devices sound really good and give that RE-201 sound ITB at a fantastic price.

Thanks! I’ll probably use my Zoom R8 as the transport controller.

For the most part, Live will be used for recording when I need more than what the R8 is capable.
