3 tracks all made in Rytm, and some tips

The lead sound is the trombone sample shortened and looped, bit rate redux, overdrive, delay thru reverb, resonance envelope sweep, Lfo on bit rate redux amount, and lots of p locks and tweaks throughout.

For this one I used overbridge sidechaining to play a Kontakt harp sample into a high resonant random filt Lfo, distortion drive, delay into reverb, I play live and tweak as I play. Love the delay overdrive. Space music piece.

I play around with an Lfo on the sample slot selection, looping sample, I use random stop button presses to make the looper buffer override sound on whatever sequence step I want to accentuate

Especially impressed with that first one, both technically in terms of the sample transformation and musically as a powerful lead line.

Thank you for the nice feedback! I’ve thought for a while it would be nice to have more digital synth products that did sample, FM, or Karplus Strong synthesis, routed through analog filter, overdrive, feedback circuitry. It may be advertised as a drum computer, but I’d say that part of the workflow is just as, if not more valuable as a production tool as having analog drum circuitry.
