I wasn’t familiar with BB1 workflow but having built-in battery power especially on an actually small and actually powerful box means BB2 could be a very useful device indeed.
Even the SP-404 mk2 is a gigantor next to the BB2, technically portable yes, but not really.
My understanding is that what that refers to is the loop track type which can have 16 different loops however you cannot sequence them for whatever insane reason, same issue on the bento.
You’re right. I’m way late to this news, but not very appealing so far
It’s a shame, I can’t imagine why they haven’t implemented some sort of clip sequencing workflow
I’m going to try approximating it by manually live-recording subtracks on the Tonverk, but not exactly the same as there’s no toggle-off button press function when live recording to the seq I guess
you mean manually selecting a group of loops to play at once, within a bar then pressing play? whats even the point of that
i often feel like im alone in wanting a workflow where i can hit rec+play, launch/toggle clips on and off in real-time, and have all of those actions recorded to a sequencer. that is the ideal “song mode” in my opinion
maybe no one else wants that, maybe thats why they havent done it
i dont really mind switching to a sample, adjusting start and end, then changing back toa clip. its not ideal but its definitely not as significant as a more innovative ableton-style arrangement functionality for recording clip actions
Ah, you’re basically a fiend for Blackbox OG’s firmware 2.x song mode. That’s pretty much how it worked and if you have got a Blackbox Mk1, that’s what you can still download.
It worked for me a few days ago, I simply followed “Please join the conversation” link here https://forum.1010music.com/forums
Not that I liked Discord or Betas or doing any of that no no hahahaha. Good luck tho!
Blackbox 2 is available on 1010Music website. They say arriving at retailers this week.
They just put the manuals up today.
Looks like pretty good MIDI CC mapping available.
