LOVE the new sound browser / manager … anyone know if it’s possible to cue up sounds through the headphones while the rest of the song is playing through the A/B outputs?

may I ask where you got the video footage? it would be quite interesting to work against inspiring visuals like that… did you work to the visual or put it on after?
(I think I replied to you on theYouTube link) – it literally means “big little master” which roughly translates into Chinese slang for “playboy”.
For this particular video I grabbed the footage off YouTube – re-edited it with a few effects – but I often shoot my own footage or re-use footage from my music video projects for other artists (some examples -> http://www.disuye.com )
I consume a huge amount of art, video, film, music, thoughts, documentaries and interviews … this all merges together into ideas for my own films, music and artwork. On this track I had a picture in my head of a Saturn V rocket discarding its launch stage (an image which was related to some other personal thoughts): Wrote the song with that feeling and image in mind, then after completing the live recording went looking for video footage that matched the feeling of the final track. Stick it all together, job done.

Subscribe to the YouTube channel if you feel like it — the plan is for at least one thing online every week. We used to run a techno/house club (for 10+ years) and are launching a live music / transmedia art warehouse space mid-January so hopefully there will be loads of interesting stuff.

Now that’s a blast from the past! Sorry, I missed your comment earlier.
No plans to go back to the old style, I lost interest in DJing nuskool breakbeat around the time when bootlegs ruled the scene (say, 2004-5?) and stopped producing breaks shortly after. Although my interest nowadays is industrial / techno so once I get this dubby acid out of my system (good music for learning hardware) the live sets will probably head in that direction. Cheers for the memory jolt!
