Tuning individual trigs in chromatic mode?

I have a 3 note baseline that spans an octave + one note. I want to record it live in chromatic mode on the digitakt. It’s a little tricky (impossible actually!) to flick between up and down octaves as I play. Does anyone know if it is possible to assign individual note values to a trig in chromatic mode?

I think you can actually tune each step on the Trig page.

I’ve gotten pretty good at the gymnastics of changing octave while playing seamlessly on the digitakt. If you hold a note it even continues as you flip octaves so you can even do some legato stuff on external modules across octaves. There is not custom scale mode or anything for chromatic though, so you are probably stuck to using an external keybed to play it in or to just programming it in step by step.

Assign your bass sound to three adjacent tracks. Change the note value for each track to reflect one of the notes in your baseline
Voila. Play away. No chromatic mode needed.
Maybe resample and move to one track after

Thanks guys. Assigned the bass to three tracks and re-sampled. Works a treat. Guess I’ll have to practice my finger gymnastics for future
