Imo careful sample selection is key when you start out with the rytm.
I know you’d like to get the best out of the machines engines but at first, its (i think) way more comfortable to learn the machines structure and overall vibe without bothering to much about synthesis.
Once you get down with the sequencer and all the features with your fav samples, the engines will join in naturally in my experience.
