[color=#7b8084][size="2"][font='Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]Mr Pagano uses the multi-disciplinary technological fields of computer science, video, audio, photography and the integration of these primary devices with a digital praxis. He has over 20 years of experience in the fields of Advanced Media Systems, Projection Design, Live Performance Production and is an expert in the use of various digital software production tools. Patrick received his BS in Telecommunications from the University of Florida, an MFA in Digital Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida as well as a degree in Just Intonation and Electronic Instrument Design from the South East Just Intonation Society. Mr. Pagano’s research in the area of digital fine arts has led to the development of a suite of open source tools specifically geared towards hybrid media performance, theatrical projection and electro-acoustic soundscapes. Mr. Pagano is also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and plays over 10 instruments, including Sitar, Tamboura, Violin, Piano, Synthesizer, Clarinet, Tuvan overtone singing. He has produced and appeared on over 50 audio recordings. In 2010 he performed "Raga Shree" with Ravi Shankar at the University Center for Performing Arts culminating 20 years of Hindustani Raga study. Since 2004, he has focused on projection design for theatrical and live dance performance in collaboration with the University of Florida, School of Theatre and Dance and has worked as Designer/Mentor for several theatrical performances including: 12th Night, the Real Thing, Rhinoceros, Dark Play or stories for boys, Electronic City, Roberto Zucco, & The Last Unicorn. Mr. Pagano teaches courses at Digital Worlds Institute on Projection Design I & II, Audio Design for Digital Productions, Digital Performance Production, Interaction Design and Interactive Storytelling. Recently, Mr. Pagano performed streaming live Audio-Visual performances @ Emily Carr University in Vancouver during IDMAA 2010. Mr. Pagano also curated a collaboration between UF Digital Worlds and Santa Fe College for a multimedia performance show, AVCLUB, most recently presented at the new Santa Fe Arts Hall in Oct 2011. Mr. Pagano is also faculty advisor for University of Florida The Hip Hop Theatre student group, Signs of Life, a streaming multi-media poetry theatre hybrid. Patrick gives national conference workshops for SETC [South Eastern Theatre Conference] as well as International [Australia] for Drama Victoria.[/font][/size][/color]
