Holding Page/ Scale Button, what effect?

Hi there
I watched a video on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD9QFAUKCaY ) and while they performe, they keep on pressing and holding the page/ scale button, and i wonder what kind of effect you get when you doing this?
Does anybody knows something about that? I doesn’t seem that they change the pattern lengh, it has to be something different.
I hope someone can enlight me…

Thanks

It’s enabling a Fill mode, it can toggle whether certain trigs are turned on or off from either being on or off beforehand

Thank you
But i’ve got a noob question… how do you program a fill pattern?

You use the trig conditions on the Note page and lock the steps you wish to ‘Fill’. These steps will then only sound when you hold Page and step record is not active.

See the manual for further tips, tricks and operating instructions for these deep and complex units.

you can use Yes+Fill[page] whilst in Step mode, but it will be quantized/cued per single pattern length

and there’s this latching finger dance too …
