Experiences with the L.A. repair center?

I’ve just been told by Elektron that, as a U.S. resident, I need to send my Machinedrum to the L.A. repair center instead of the main one in Sweden. However, a couple friends have reported bad experiences there involving shoddy repairs and extra long waits (2+ months, unlike their claim of 2-4 weeks from receipt).

Has anyone sent things in for repair there, and if so, how was your experience?

If it’s a simple fix, it should be good and very quick.

Here’s my experience: link

Elektron claims that initial response times for support tickets are much faster now, and you seem to have got past that stage of the process already.

I had an issue with my AR. Left output was crackling sometimes. Worked with support remotely before sending it in. I sent it in on April 14th and got it back on April 22nd. Everyone was great. I am super pleased with the support I received.

No. It’s fine. They probably have some Elmers glue for your MD :+1:

That’s a relief. Guess they were just going through some growing pains.

Hooray for not having to ship to Europe! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

yeah definitely start celebrating

it was ok. they responded nicely.
Mine took like 15 minutes or so to repair, but it was dirt or something, on a knob.
They did however returned my OT with little hairs inside the screen.

I got someone’s DNA inside the OT. I thought it was a experiment to make it more humane!
