its important to identify a favourite nut in case you ever have to make a choice.

What can I say? I do value that gonad!

You should turn off all networking (including Bluetooth) when running a DAW, to remove potential sources of instability.

It is really quite a regressive trendā€¦ mono synths with no patch memories- and often no MIDIā€¦ costing like a grandā€¦ fuck that. I still do not get what / who theyā€™re for exactly. Sound designers who cannot spend too much time with computers due to RSI is about the only market I can think of, but evidently the things are selling seeing how everyone is putting CV on their synths.
Something like Serum or Zebra or Reaktor can give a lifetimeā€™s worth of deep sounds that can be saved on a USB stickā€¦ why the heck would anyone want that cable spaghetti to make some fat drone sound is beyond me.

You can eat ravioli at a restaurant or get it from a tin, just because you flush both down the toilet in the end it doesnā€™t make it the same.

weā€™re gonna go off topic but I get that people like tinkering with electronics and have disposable income.

Whoah! No need to swear, man!

Werenā€™t you in another thread cautioning against software because itā€™ll all be obsolete eventually, whereas hardware lasts forever?

You know how your always posting this synth would be better with x, y, or z. Or I canā€™t believe this synth doesnā€™t have a certain feature.

Thatā€™s why people get into modular.

Yes, but modular is taking the hardware approach too far  and is atm ridiculously overpriced because it is targetting that disposable income. Arturiaā€™s new rack cases are a good example. A box with a power supply for how much???

Hopefully Elektron will release an instrument with a redesigned interface.
The 8 knobs are nowhere near enough in a performance synth.
The encoders make the experience even less enjoyable.
Give us pots and a lot more than 8 please.
The interface hasnā€™t changed since monomachine, and it was questionable even way back then

the more interesting thing is the EML-101. Looks in great condition, fairly stock, maybe a slightly early rev.

It would be nice if non-modular brands would get inspiration from modular ones though. I would love to see loquelic iteritas embedded with an Elektron sequencer for example.

no, thanks

iā€™m quite happy to use an additional midi controller , theyā€™re quite cheap , adaptable to various machines.
otherwise the base price of the hardware goes up and its only usable on 1 machine.
i just ask for midi ccā€™s for everthing including any macro controls.

my vote: something random the regular folks wont want, but the kids will. like cardboard for nintendo. or like POā€™s for TE. maybe even a suite of apps? elektrons new MO points to higher volume and cheaper price points, maybe they will announce something that takes this even further than the DT- ala Roli blocks. Or, a suite of foot pedals - they dipped their toes with the Drive and have been quiet on that front ever since

Every time I come here I see an even more outlandish name for some modular thingā€¦ Seriously, this is 11 on the hipster scale!

Some faders would be nice but Elektron boxes are expensive enoughā€¦

I just want an 8-track polyphonic MIDI sequencer made by Elektron, with all the p-locking goodness and full MIDI CC output. Yes, I would like this very much pretty please.
