Carrying bag for 2 Elektrons

Mono bags are definitely worth the price, though that price is not always accessible for some.

Hey, I did some searching. I’m more interested in a carry case than a backpack tho, but I found this:

http://www.crumpler.com/au/men-workwear-collection/vis-a-vis-attache

It looks pretty cool - going by the dimensions it looks like you might be able to fit 2 Elektron machines in vertically in the clothing section… maybe even a laptop and other things in the other side.

I like that its a hardcase, got a rugged handle and a lock and little compartment for iPad and stuff. Kinda pricey tho. But actually high quality I would say. And yeah the Mono stuff is too (I have the Flyby).

There’s a Crumpler store near me… when I get my units and actually after I get a couple of the protective lids, I’ll go down for a bit of a test sesh.

If you dont want to spend much money, check this one http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_producer_backpack.htm

I totally agree with the Mono bag - I’ve had mine for years - and used it on travels all over the world - never had a single problem in airports.

It even has those nice side-pockets for my OP-1 and Akai LPK25 - and small pockets for download cards or the like.

I’ve got an OT and an A4, both MKI.

I want to get this bag to move around with them for gigs and jamming:

The question: Should I get the decksavers as well? Or is it unnecessary?

I might as well combine the shipping if I’m getting the bag from there anyway, but if I don’t need them, I won’t get them.

Thanks!

Do you use the bag as well?

I have one in its earlier form, yea. You’ll want to protect the encoders for sure.

Alright, yea, the encoders for sure run the risk of being damaged without them.

Desksavers are cheaper than paying for repairs.

Thanks for the lightning responses.

the Thomann bag is great!

Yea, it’s looking like the one for me.

Has anyone tried a pelican 1550 with two mkii’s? or found a pelican model they liked?

Hi Guys,

Wanted to know if anyone was able to fly safely with this two units flight case : https://www.swanflight.com/twin-elektron-sampler-flightcase.html

I’m moving my gear from France to the States.

Has anyone tried thomman producer backpack with either the A4 MKII or RYTM MKII? I will buy this immediately if it will!

it might

Internal dimensions: 2 compartments each 400 x 240 x 50 mm (middle separated by thick cushion)

on mine the internal cushion separates @ 85 mm and 40 approx , not sure if they have recently changed though

You can put an AR mk2 and A4 mk2 both with their decksavers in the same Thomann bag, I’ve discovered it this week.
AR mk2 and OT fit as well, just tested it!

ooohh thx! gonna go for it

+1 on the Thomann bag it’s well padded and 2 units with covers fit perfectly, also quite a lot of room left for other stuff in the top, side and front pockets!
