Zoom Ms-70 CDR

Yeah, that would change the whole delay effect to mono, though. What I was after was narrowing the stereo field. For example, instead of hearing the delay taps at hard 90 degree left and right, more like 45 degrees.

Appreciate the idea, though!

I might be wrong here (because I’m still learning a lot), but isn’t the stereo width effect in our ears caused by the slight differences in the delay times or something. I thought that changing the delay decays to be slightly closer to each other in the delay settings should have the intended effect of making it sound ‘closer’ to each other.

Again, I might be wrong here too and I’ve not tested this on the pedal yet either (I probably will tomorrow though).

Essentially what I’m looking for is a way to mimic the “width” parameter on the Elektron delay effect, or the stereo parameter on Ableton’s Echo, etc.

If there’s a way to get the same from mixing two delay times or spread on a certain zoom pedal effect, that would be really nice.

Yes, the effect is in the single digit ms range, possibly as small as +/-1 ms. You are simulating the physical effect of sound reaching each ear at a slightly different offset.

Correction: 2-50ms (but this is not consistent with my imperfect memory)
