Your workaround to achieve 128 (or 256) perfect sliceable steps?

I set to max and use audacity to cut.

Is there a better way? Ideally without using another device?

(Computers are for porn only … I prefer a dawless way of making sounds)

Set QREC to PLEN (pattern length), and set pattern length as you wish (SCALE PER TRACK mode).
ONE2 rec mode, RLEN = MAX.

Up to 1024 steps recording.
