Holy shit.
If owned that lot I would not have any furniture. Or (probably) any other possessions. And I would definitely never ever see daylight.
That is an awesome array of gear.

Cool! Was this your trip to Abbey Road?
I donāt have a lot of furniture and most of what I have is inexpensive. Also, being essentially a fat old goth, I find daylight to be overratedā¦

No, butā¦
Considering the recent Polymoog-pickup-story, for some reason (prejudice) I didnāt expect to see a K5000 in the collection. But in there it is.
Truly a man of exquisite taste.
Museum grade. Fantastic!
I love the K5000. Nothing else sounds like it and I doubt weāll see its like again.
Studio tan. Never goes out of fashion, my friend. Rock on.
Same here, definitely one of the best digital synthesizers ever made, even when considering how tedious those are to program (says the longtime workstation player, for context). Iāve been looking for one in good condition and for a fair price on and off for a few years, but no dice yet.
This is needs to be a thing. Iām remembering this for later!
Wow!
Wish I could claim it for my own but no⦠very old term, I first heard it doing a recording in the basement of BBC Broadcasting House in London in the late 80s. The BBC sound engineers used the term a lot.
These guys were working 12-14 hour shifts in a basement three floors below street level (literally at the same level as the underground trains on the Bakerloo Line) and often would work 6-8 days straight without a break. Half the year they wouldnāt see daylight at all during the working week.
Also the most kickass sound engineers I have ever met, period. Unbelievable level of knowledge.
That has a kind of Zen beauty to it. Nice one!
Wow thatās gorgeous
Youāre making me want to go out and buy a bunch of beautiful felt covers for all my synths!
No Words.
Thatās 2 words.
Theyāre not that good at keeping dust off the (black) gear unfortunately .
OK, close the thread. We have a winner.
And the Grand Prize is⦠a lifetimeās supply of threadbare clothes, generic food and drink, and very poor posture.
And it was totally worth it.
