I still have RCA RGB cables from PS2 and old monitors that I will never be able to use again but I’m not throwing that, just in case…
Dude you never know…
Better to be safe than sorry.
Completely reasonable.
I mean sure I’m never going to be using one of those old screw in cable attachment boxes that came with old tvs, but shit, what if something happens and I needs it?
imagine how much money you’d save if they will start making tvs like that again, I’m sitting on a goldmine!
What’s the patchbay thingy?
That’s a modified Alesis HR-16 drum machine, it’s had the full set of mods done by CircuitBenders.co.uk, who discuss the machine here.
A page addressing the patchbay is available here.
I get the impression those two retired gentlemen on the wall are looking on and judging you so don’t do anything your mother wouldn’t approve of (like making tropical house).
lol, Damn, I can never un-see that!
They are looking down on me using their Elektron descendants:
Statler “He’s not half bad!”
Waldorf “No, He’s all bad!”
…ba-dum
If you figure out a way to un-see things be sure to let me know because I’d like un-see guy ritchie’s aladdin as soon as possible.
…I’ll keep you in the loop - It’s at the top of my to-do list since watching S2 of Good Omens last weekend.
I HAD that…I gave my box away. Someone else is holding on to ancient cables now
phew, total load off
I was in a pub the other day and asked the landlord about the beers they had on offer. He told me they all came from Guy Ritchie’s brewery. When I said ‘I hope his beer is better than his films’ the landlord looked really upset, but took it like a gent and replied ‘Well it’s a matter of taste’.
Want to know how the beer was?
The beer wasn’t amazing but definitely easier to spend two hours with than the films.
I like some guy ritchie films, just don’t let madonna direct the beer.
I was in the same room with Madonna once. She is very small.
it’s an optical illusion created when you have that many large body guards between you and the person in question, in actuality madonna is 9 feet tall barefoot.
ahem, 274 cm tall barefoot.
this thread is missing the embarrassing blurry out of focus aesthetic of a couch jam which should have never been photographed. had fun though.
just saying not all his films are bad
(it’s a scene from lock stock and two smoking barrels)
Spent quite some time getting the ergonomics of my setup how I want it. Everything is patchbayed up to the interface, and Ive set the midi so I can have sync from my Elektrons or Logic easily via a midi patchbay (mioXL) depending on what I’m up to. I’m hoping to record quick guitar, synth, or piano loops etc on the RC-505, then take the good bits into the Octatrack and combine with grooves from the Syntakt. I can then take the individual Syntakt tracks into Logic via overbridge and combine them with the OT’s main and cue outs.
My default Logic template is set up with my interface inputs, fx sends, all ready to go, and Console 1 applied to every channel, so I can get a nice hardware desk feel when Im tracking in and mixing.
I hope to get to grips with the newly connected setup soon and get posting on the ‘Actual Music I’m Making’ part of the forum, which is really what it’s all about.
Cheers, a fellow Console One user! I have both models as well. I pull them out when I’m mixing and tracking things. Really speeds up the process!
