Yeah, perfect setup for me. Can even throw some VSTs in the mix via overbridge If I wanted to.
This (plus the Arturia keylab 49 mk2 under the desk) is really all I need to create something that resembles music. It feels compact and manageable , but at the same time offers many possibilities and workflows to play around with.
Iād say it has pretty good bass definition given its size ā youād get more from the bigger Roland amps, but this one is super portable (and stereo), so itās just a matter of preference. I played in a band with a guy who used the big KC-550 and it sounded wicked for bass but it was a massive amp.
Iāve only played indoors with this amp but itās got a lot of volume to offer, I think it would do well in an outdoor setting. Planning to get some outdoor jams in soon so Iāll try to remember to report back.
Itās quite nice. Everything sounds clean and Iāve found myself stopping a lot just testing out the presets. This Epic Steel one (Diatonic/Shimmer) is real neat.
Another slim down of sorts: Mako M1 is in and rev 2 is boxed up (considering selling it). Computer stuff has been moved downstairs for mental separation. Random painting of Snowdonia my wife got off eBay used to cover DIY butchery to the wall
My brain properly really struggles with too many options on the desk. Some of the amazing massive setups above would absolutely paralyze me.
(crossposted from Lines, but I read this thread too!)
I recently broke my promise to myself NOT to modify my setup until winter, and I am very grateful to myself for doing it. I eliminated my MioXM and Bluebox and replaced them with an iPad running AUM and a USB hub. Then I took a friendās advice and put the modular right in front of me (which also involved moving modules around). Itās much more ergonomic and the Perfourmer is easily integrated as extra oscillators and modulation if I need it. I also integrated the Implexus, which I am really enjoying. It is currently patched to Maths in this image. We also recently acquired a piano. The speaker will soon have a small guitar amp on it for practice (I just havenāt set it up yet).
The walls need a bit more decoration (or possibly more treatment) but for now, this is a very happy musical space.
I wish I had the photography skills of others on this thread.
Iām intensely curious because I have more or less the same setup now (with the ST instead of the DT, and a Machinedrum on the sideā¦), how are you routing or using the Torso?
Do you keep everything connected/daisy chained directly, or do you use a mixer/patchbay?
