Goddamn, dude. I had been wondering what happened to you. Now I see that you wiggled into another dimension. That is nuts.

Completely nuts. Itās so friggin nice to have everything synced and working though, no more MIDI madness!
This is what I have just ordered:

Only Doepfer modules. Itās only 5 elements but I am very excited, waiting for it to began patching
^^ Exciting time isnāt it. that filter gets lots of love on the forum.

^mine currently, going to lose the Toolbox and doepfer ringmod and get a doepfer sample and hold and MI Peaks, I think.
I started with a Make Noise System 2 and added a few pieces. Itās also being fed by the A4.

Took a couple of missteps as I didnāt really know what I wanted, so will most likely get rid of the Grids and Piston Honda, and possibly the Rosie. Then reassess.
Maybe add a shapeshifter as a swap for the piston honda, love mine.
Great thread! Iām having a lot of fun with monome/mannequins:
I do really like the sound of the Shapeshifter. Whatās the learning curve like, and do you spend much time in menus?
When Iām using the modular now, I feel like I could use some more mixing options, something to provide and mess with clock, and something in the way of distortion, or another filter, and so on and on and on and onā¦
I love that this thread has gone on for months without the title being corrected.
^ wha d yo mea ?
I am Modular, are you Modular?
I darenāt watch thisā¦ it is likely to be far too tempting!
Corrected.
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/65276 heres mine!
anyone wanting a shapeshifter - just go and buy oneā¦ ive got some demos if you like, i totally love mine and use it in every track since i got it
Nice system, love the seq options
a friend of mine bought and sold the reneā¦ I personally think its a great bit of kitā¦ and the tiptopsā¦ so cool.
also got my A4 & x0xbox, which are great for sequencing - i even want another cheap x0x just for this purpose.
Im also on the cirklon list. I think im into sequencers as much as oscillators envelopes and filters
The rene is great but I like sequencing from the AK too.
I would love the KOMA beastie sequencer, nearly passed out when I first saw that!
Back in the real world though, sequencing a modular from a 303 (in my case, a bassbot I borrowed) or xoxbox etc is brilliant and shows how much of the acid sound is really about the sequencer and less about the filter, vca and osc.
Purposefully avoiding finding out too much about the cirklon!
Lovely vid that.

oh, the cirklonā¦ let me just let you in on a few tidbits
has a sort of āfillā function that adds a programmed burst of whatever over the top, perfect for breaksy-braindance type stuff
has probability for notes
has a āstealā/ āswapā function where one channel can steal stuff from the other (channels swap cc values - one goes quiet the other goes loud)
channels can affect each other - I remember its a bit like ducking a pad from a kick. will have to RTFM again
lightning fast to use, can change multiple steps at a time etc
loads of CV & MIDI <just plug every fucking thing in and it works
you know you want need one
