Your modulars (Part 2)

First test drive after re-construction

One thing that i really love about Eurorack and Modular in general is that you can restructure your rack to fit other needs.

Since getting Grandmother and Morphagene I feel less inclined to use my midi to CV module and instead play more unsynced. I tend to be more exploratory when I do this.

So today I removed the midi to CV module and added back in the Samara II and did a general re shuffle of the modules, fresh perspective and all…

Current patch is a sequence from GM being sampled by Marbles and the. Sent out to the system seperate OSC 1 and 2 to be processed independently and then running it through mimeophon.

I think I had to talk myself into taking out the midi to CV control and it wasn’t easy! I do like it better. Different approach each time I sit down.

How are you liking Morphagene?

Yeah, it was the same for me, but i noticed that i used midi less and less. And i agree it feels a bit more grenig not being tethered to midi.

I have a fluctuating affection towards Morphagene. At times I really like it due to it’s flimsiness and later I hate it due to its flimsiness…
but overall I think it’s a great module…

Morphagene  I know exactly what you mean.

The different options to change playback and tempo out can be fun to play with too, but still lives in the same territory that’s not a drum machine sampler.

Not just a spiritual successor, it seems: Poly Cinematic has been removed from Knobula’s website.

Aha! Is that an expander port?

Some fun things with breakbeat in this new Schlappy Patching

I can understand but i’ve been surprised by how easy it is to get their language. I love cryptic looking stuff anyway so it’s for me hahaha.

from a design point of view this is a beautiful brand ( i like beautiful things ) but as soon as i look closely at their modules i got complexity paralysis !

anyway good point you had the occasion to test it first !

Bwahahahaha

Yours ?

Yes. The 411 just arrived yesterday so I was planning a class photo, but you prompted me to take a candid snapshot.

I prefer stazma system 1 as he called it , less anxiety, the Brenso is really beautiful sounding tho
