Yet another DIY synth - Hansy 1010

I am currently finishing another diy project. Here is a picture of first assemble. It is a mono/duo hybrid wavetable synth. Filter is analog (very similar to Shruthi design). 2 x oscillators plus sub.

I may provide audio samples at some point but being busy with other projects may take longer than I would wish.

doesnt look very DIY at all - always liked the shruthi filter… so I’m rather curious how it may sound…
looks great!

looks nice and yes doesn’t look much like a DIY project, made me think of the Blofeld for a second, maybe was the enclosure color

That Berlin demo is incredible, are you planning on selling these as kits or only prebuilt?

The guy who is behind this project sells them prebuilt (well at least the last time I contacted him he did). I think there are some details in the second link. In my case I only ordered pcbs and the enclosure.

really cool design. how does the joystick work, you just assign it to 2/4 parameters?

There are 4 destinations for the joystick.

this is absolutely AMAZING! I need this now. Is this opensource?

I dont think it is. I might be wrong though. You may try to contact the person who developed the project to find out if he would be willing to provide you with the code.

Thank you infekted for your post.
I am the conceptor of this project.
You can find some information about this on my web site and about my other projects.

The filter is a Mutable Intrument SMR2 MKII
The code is not open source
I have some PCB and case here in stock in France/Grenoble
And yes it is not a KIT for the beginners

Final product.

How does it sound?

In one of the links above there is an audio demo. Unfortunately I had limited time to test it sound wise.
So far I have swapped TL084 to TL074 and it seems that it sounds a bit smoother.

In general I would compare it to Shruthi. 1010 has different architecture though, assignable joystick (btw it is possible to add this type of control to Shruthi too), several envelopes. I believe this should contribute to wider sound pallet.

I will test drive it in few weeks time and will record some demos to share.
