Yet Another Analog PolySynth Recommendation Thread - How do you Choose?

Instead of looking for dealers that had specific synths, I cast a wide net to see what dealers within 60 miles had on the floor in total. I found a GuitarCenter that had at least 7 different synths that I had looked at, so I made the trip to see what I could learn. The biggest surprise was the OBX8. I also liked the Prophet 10 a lot. The muse didn’t gel with me for multiple reasons; same with the Rev2. After that trip, I did a little more research, and decided to buy the Udo Super 8 used from GuitarCenter. This was an opportunity to test drive one to help make a decision. So far, I’m really digging it. Here are some patches I made to start. I’m working from complete creative destruction. I make a patch, and then initialize, and repeat. I feel it’s the only way I’ll really get a handle on workflow.

All these clips are just single performance light improvisations with some sounds that I created, and thought worth recording.

Udo Pad is just meant to be ridiculous with AT causing havoc.
LFO UDO is running a lengthy delay on the LFO to create movement
Bell over Arp is exactly what you would expect lol. But I do make use of AT to create some nice vibrato

Great choice.
