Yellow Trig Madness

Hey!
I’m wondering if anyone can help me with this:
Sometimes when I load a project and start the Sequencer, there are yellow trigs on trig 1 and 2. The sequence progresses from step one to two then stops (play button remains lit).
I’ve tried to figure this out, but I’m completely STUMPED!
What the heck am I missing?

Do you have MIDI Messages going in your OT?

Sometimes, you can get artefacts from MIDI Messages.

Hey! I don’t have any midi going INto the OT, but I’m using midi to trigger other instruments. I’m going to dive in further a little later. Thanks for the reply.

Sequencer won't play. Stuck on step 1

Had this problem come up 6 times in last couple of days. The sequencer suddenly just won’t play. The first step LED stays lit in yellow. Switching projects doesn’t solve it. Switching sets doesn’t solve it! Switching off is only option. Other symptoms: can get no audio at all - no preview possible in editor or file browser. Also the AB meter LEDs stayed frozen at a fixed ‘glow’ even after source detached and mixer gain turned down. Not using EXT sync. No midi connections at all. Seems a lot …

Weird Plays-Free bug?

I call it the ‘yellow freeze’ - first trig stuck at yellow LED, sequencer not running, input LEDs frozen at whatever level at the time of freeze. Hello old friend!

Are you getting the first trig lighting yellow like I did? I haven’t had the issue for a long time now but I recently dug out some old notes on OT bugs and I’d written something about copying a thru track to the adjacent track, turning it into a neighbour and setting it to plays free - pretty convoluted! I haven’t run into it for ages & couldn’t reproduce the problem recently so I’ve assumed OS update(s) have solved it. But maybe my notes were just not that accurate. or it’s more temperamental…

Tldr I never got to the bottom of it, but ppl have lots of suggestions in those threads. I haven’t had it for a long time - maybe OS update solved it, or maybe I just don’t try such convoluted things with plays free etc…

Thinking this is a weird bug. Running latest ware. This situation seems intermittent and will usually clear with a power cycle. Yuck. Will contact support. Thanks all for responding!!!

Did you try in a new project? Maybe your project is corrupted.
