Level and mutes are part of the internal mixer, Vol is a track parameter. Either you sample the main output of the mixer, or the output of a track before it enters the mixer. That architecture makes sense to me

Agreed, it makes sense now. It just stumped me as the way I found it was my sample wasn’t being recorded under certain circumstances and had to go seeking… Another wtf OT moment for me… 
Double stumped me as I sample with xvol min all the time, but that’s with inputs as source which makes sense too now, never thought about it…
