Looks ideal for sequencing with a Digitakt. It could use up all 8 MIDI tracks with 4 voices per track

I didn’t see price but 2nd hand tx81z are about £150 , built , inc psu , case , manual and many classic sounds and 1000’s downloadable off web.
Might be interesting if it’s £100
"The main cost of the project is in the Mojo v3 board ($38.9 as in current eBay prices). The rest of the BOM is about $10.6 according to Octopart.com:
So the total cost for the project would be $49.5 for the whole module, assuming building only one unit. Prices go substantially lower when building multiple units."
Goes on to say the Mojo it’s built on is also open source, so it gets even cheaper; depends how much work you put in.
That’s a new one
It’s open source and gets ‘cheaper’ the more work you put in to it.
Good luck to them.
Well, um, yeah?
Time is valued because as you trade it away for money you become acutely aware of how much you’ve got left. Spending time rather than money can seem like diminishing value, sure, but it enforces the agency to create things you’re interested in, which has it’s own value imo.
I’m aware that financial responsibilities do not always allow people to spend their time not making money, but that’s a systemic issue, not an issue with people making synths and showing other people how to build them with no financial motivation. Sorry to go off, it’s likely I misinterpreted the tone of your post.
That demo, yikes! Still, looks promising.
