Going through a box of stuff, I found this thing. It has a 1/4" jack on one end and mini-USB on the other, but no markings on the body. Any idea what it is?

1/4” to mini USB adapter?

Some kind of DAC and/or interface? Does your computer recognise it if you plug it in?

Looks like a home made usb audio device kinda like the apple headphones dongle

Definately looks 3d printed

Yea definitely 3D printed.

I’d guess it’s either to be used as a ‘Mic in’ or as a Headphone out.

Is it TRS?

It does look vaguely familiar to me, but I simply can’t remember the thing. It makes sense that I’d have gotten something in the past as an audio in, but when I plugged it into the MacBook just now, it wasn’t recognized. That doesn’t mean it didn’t come with a driver.

I can’t tell if it’s TRS.

I guess I’m about to toss it since I haven’t missed it for years. Interestingly, it was in the same box as the missing speaker stand set screws from this thread, so now I have way too many of those.
