Argentina do seem to have benefitted from a number of decisions that could have gone against them but didn’t. Add to that their surprisingly easy draw and you’ve got plenty of people shouting conspiracy.
Don’t add fucking fuel to the fire by doubling up on the Argentinian refs for the France game.
Now I’m not saying there’s a conspiracy to get Argentina to the final, I don’t think there is. Most of it can be explained by a mixture of good luck, some less than consistent refereeing and a little sprinkling of Messi getting away with things other footballers don’t (which has been going on a lot longer than this tournament). Very weird call indeed.
I think on the whole the refereeing’s been good, with a few exceptions standing out.
The Paraguay game was weird… hard to understand a top-tier ref making so many bad decisions. One or two, okay, but a whole game of ignoring fouls?
Despite the refs being Argentinian tonight, I expect them to be unbiased and to ref fairly.
Conspiracy theory time, just for a laugh:
FIFA put Argentinian refs on purpose, those refs will massively favour Morocco, people will blame the refs, and not FIFA.

Yeah, France really on it again.
Morocco never got the chance to try to play their own game, they were simply bossed by a better team playing their best football.
The problem is that France can make something so difficult look so effortless. You get to the end of the game thinking the opposition didn’t turn up, but the reality is that France never gave them the option of turning up.
