Hello, this would be a question of
“Is there a way to / What would be the way to”…
OK, I have a set in the Roland SP404, let’s say one page of kicks, one page of snares, or one page of pad sampled melodies, etc… That would be like, 12 different available sounds per page (or 16 in the newest MK2), easily identifiable, visually categorized and ready to go in a live set. In the SP404, there are 10 banks, so 12 sounds x 10 banks: 120 sounds to choose from.
Now, “Is there a way to / What would be the way to” have this kind of… order? structure? readiness? in the Octatrack?
I’m thinking about my workflow in a live situation with the Octa. And all the previous setup, sample organizing, etc etc.
THANK YOU.
Utilising slices with sample chains would be one way of having a large number of sounds more immediately at your disposal on the OT, using something like Octachainer can help in making the chains.
