Hello my friends,
I Have A AR, A4, OT, DT. I always made jams but I have never recorded. I would like at present create a compléte music without the computer and mixing everything with my analog mixer. I have two FX (EVENTIDE SPACE & TIMEEFACTOR who are connected send/AUX on the mixing desk there. Think you that I have to sampling my synths with the effects in the OT? Either to leave everything in dry signal?
I am really lost on how record my sample in the OT. If you can help I it would help me enormously.
Thanks !
You basically have the same setup as I have. Minus the eventide space and timefactor. OT is the heart of everything. I’d get rid of the analog mixer but hey that’s just me. Everything is made to feed into the OT just use insert cables. To input everything into the OT. You kinda have to approach everything from how you would in a DAW. Think of the synths as tracks and the OT is your master chain. If I were you… with the Eventide stuff. I’d put that on the mixer as an aux send. You don’t want to record everything into the OT. That’s a waste and not really using the machine to its full potential. Write songs using the AR & A4 as your core song creators because it has the ability to chain banks. Learn more about OT and read the manual because you have the capability to simply record into it just by double tapping the track. Selecting the machine type you need. Even just watch a youtube video on it. It’s easy. Everyone gets lost sometimes or doesn’t fully understand the power of these machines. RTFM and watch videos to help you understand.

Thanks for your quick response. I know very well the machine I’m trying to find out how to create a full track with the OT know if I samples with or without the no no bus effects you don’t have the right thank you for your quick response. I know very well the machine I’m trying to find out how to create a full stalk with the OT know if I échantillonnes with or without FX to keep these settings. or so records at once in Ableton. How do you for your samples, dry or wet?
depends on what I’m doing. You have two efx units so I would make them dry. I would also record everything into ableton last.
