so how do you guys approach this?
do you add them in as you create your track or patterns?
or maybe load them all up in a certain order?
share your ideologies here, so we may all better ourselves.

I normally just add them as I go. But I do consider trying something along the lines of flex slots 1-10 kicks, 11-20 snares, 21-30 hats etc. For me this will work because I only use 1 bank per song, 16 songs a project.
I’d say don’t sweat it unless you use the “slots” trig mode. I just samples in any old slot, because once it’s in and you link your parts to it, you don’t have to revisit the slot list ever again (unless you use the “slots” trig mode, of course).
For the slot trig mode I try to set up every 16 slots with a different drum part of the same drum machine. That way you can trigger drum patterns. After that I just assign an empty slot new sample grabs.
Of course you can(and should) approach this in different ways to keep the creativity on its toes.
i don’t try to keep any order with it. i typically keep my input tracks on 1 or 2 of the right 4 tracks but i found that i end up remembering what is what for each track as i play the patterns more over time.
imho this depends a lot on what you want to do with the OT. I produce on the fly. This makes flawless sample organisation a key issue for me, because I need to access them fast when in slot mode.
So I have 4-8-16 groups of samples. specifically:
8bd
8hh
8sd
8cp
16perc (4 low cong, 4 midcong, 4 toms, 4 claves)
8bs
8syn
16 rides, cymbals, bells
etc…
absolutely. i usualy oraginse it in groups of 16 personally. for trigslot usage aswell as just knowing where stuff is. im just always curious of how others approach it and what advantages arise for certain situations. my favourite part of this forum is learning how others approached their individual problems
I switch aproach from idea to idea… but lately i have been playing with what i describe in this topic : http://www.elektronauts.com/t/how-many-samples-max-in-one-project/6170/52258
Once you get your head around it… its easy to make 64 pattern projects in renoise
and export them on a per-track basis… thus getting 64slice-able samples.
and then just play with your octa and jam … small example of using this type of samples, plus small explanation is found here: (shameless selfpromotion ->) http://www.elektronauts.com/t/octatrack-jam-with-small-explanation/6508/54681
