I know, no one has the manual or the product yet but some of you have demoed it.
Or possibly have seen the info in a video.
Will there be a roll function and will that function be recordable.
Looking at the RYTM image it seems that they could put the functionality under the trig page,
or I suppose a pad could use the retrig function like my OT and utlilize pressure to alter the speed of the roll. (retrig speed)
Anyway,
just wondering if anyone has any knowledge.
I sure hope they included this feature but if they didn’t it would be a reason to still be happy with my Tempest.
Is retrig and roll the same? A function to repeatedly trigger the same key? The retrig button is positioned in the lower left corner. Hold it down and press the pad you want to rrrrretrig. When the button is held down you can adjust the tempo of the retrig etc.
If it’s recordable however I don’t know.
Thanks for info.
Love your videos and I appreciate you posting them.
I assume that the retrig function is like a roll - I guess that’s what I was asking.
I’ve only used it on the OT and it’s not really the same I suppose, just set a trig to trig a sound that has a retrig set at a speed and length; since that trig is not holding the sample to trig over and over again at a rate it is hard for me to picture.
What I am getting at is something like a snare roll, in which I could hold the pad down and the snare sample/sound would retrigger at a set rate to emulate a roll.
Are we on the same page?
The retrig has different timing options (1/4, 1/8,1/16, etc.) so yes it does do a roll.
It was mentioned in some vids.
I guess it’ll respond to pad pressure too?
That’s one nice feature on the tempest for controlling say increasing volume on rolls.
