yes
Thanks. It’s from a reputable store with a good return policy if it’s not working properly.
Then grab it. Try a factory check (hold func while boot).
Whoops. Nevermind. Says the power is cutting in and out. You were correct. Too good to be true.
If you already have a compatible elektron power supply for your digitakt then I would try it in person with your own PSU. I had a power supply with a dodgy connection at the brick in one of the 2 cables that met there.
Basically the power was cutting in and out, in my situation, due to the PSU and not the machine.
It’s a great price.
If its just the power supply or the socket, it is still a good deal…
(I had a power socket problem with MKI, solved bending the metal piece with a thin screw driver).
I have the same problem with my MKI but never bothered fixing it since it never causes problems if the OT is stationary. So it may not be a big deal
@shigginpit @sezare56 I decided against it. I’m trying real hard to not buy things just because I can afford them. I’ve made that mistake a lot the last few years and end up selling them again at a loss.
If anyone is interested, guitar center is where I found the deal.
I agree that the basic concept is hard to improve on (except for the pickup machines lol). My dream improvements are quality-of-life things:
- 8 parameters per page
- some fresh effects, filters in particular
- busses would nice
- a better screen (blasphemy i know)
- MIDI scaling & Euclidean (Elektron’s implementation of the latter is by far the best)
- 2 sets of MIDI ports
- better metering, gain staging inside an Elektron device can be challenging
- 24/48 by default, I love the sound but honestly it sounds a bit crusty at times
- better connectivity/storage, OT Overbridge would be fine
- a spring-loaded pitch bend (or whatever) knob as well as the crossfader
