To each their own but the MnM is the only Elektron box I own, with the Octa mk1/2, Heat, Rytm, MD & AK all having come & gone. I think it has the best interface of all the Elektron boxes I’ve laid hand on & all the talk of its learning curve is overblown, especially if you’re already using the Octa.

Would like to mess with the Digi boxes one of these days but can’t imagine replacing the MnM w/ the DN. I barely even use MnM’s FM machines but love the box to death.

Is it worth the $2k? Depends on the budget. I’d rather have it than a Juno, for instance.

your’e onto something with the interface - it feels perfect. Like they refined the Machinedrum & hit some kind of height there.

  1. you can map CCs from OT to MM and do plocks on OT (i never do this though, too hard to keep track of).
  2. you can put trigless plocks on the MNM and they apply to whatever note evens come in from the OT (this is cool)

but honestly, i jsut dont do many plocks on the mnm.
