Why Are Sounds Different Depending on The Track?

I just got my A4 last week, and I’m a total Elektron Noob. I’m loving it so far!

I just noticed this odd behavior today- as I’m loading up certain preset patches, they are sounding terrible (err… different) in certain tracks, but not all. I’m guessing that there are some Track parameters that are not reset when a new Sound is loaded, but I’m not sure which ones, thus, I’m not sure how to hone back in on the sound I’m looking for.

As I scroll through the sound browser and audition a Sound in different Tracks, the preset sounds as expected in track 2, similar but heavily distorted in track 3, and then almost like a different and pretty unusable sound in tracks 1 and 4. I don’t believe it was doing this before. (As a test, I just loaded a Kit, and the sounds come up fine.)

What parameters are saved to a track, independent of loading a sound? Is there a way to reset the track parameters? If so, how?

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you’ve adjusted performance parameters !

Im assuming you mean that when you load up the same sound on all 4 tracks and then test each one by pressing the keyboard, they sound different. I believe the settings on the parameters page and the effects track will remain unchanged when you change patches, so check those areas. Otherwise the basic patch parameters should be specific to the patch loaded.
