Hi!
So I have been taking some direct samples into the Analog Rytm. However, when I play the sample back it is always time stretched and plays very low and slowly with the pitch way off. I haven’t found any controls to fix it back to the original sound that was being monitored.
I am assuming this is because the sample is time stretched to match the BPM of the project?
Am I misunderstanding? Is there a way to change how much the sample is stretched longer or shorter? Is there a way to assign the sample and tell the Rytm to play it back exactly as it was recorded, not pitched or stretched?
Thanks for the input.

There is no time stretching on the Rytm. Are you sure the tune (TUN) and fine tune (FIN) parameters on the SAMPLE page are at zero (middle position)?
Another source of troubles may be an LFO changes these parameters, of course.

Just to clear up the terminology, people use the word “timestretch” to mean a process that slows down or speeds up the audio but keeps the pitch the same. The Rytm is not capable of this. The Octatrack is the only Elektron machine that can.
The Rytm will play back samples chromatically according to MIDI notes being played, and the pitch setting on that particular pad will also affect it. Tuning a sample down will produce the results you are hearing - it will be slower and lower in pitch. So check the Tuning parameter within the Sample Edit page for that sound.
