This is driving me nuts… I’m sure I’m missing something, but have always had this problem with my A4:
Record something on the built in keyboard, playback, half a step down.
Transpose is off (at least as far as I can tell - hold transpose, tracks aren’t lit)
Transpose is set to 0
Nothing external connected.
Global transpose is also at 0 (again, as far as I can tell, unless it’s more complex than pressing transpose + global and then zeroing)
The really maddening thing is that even when I take what I’ve recorded and shift it half a step, it then jumps a full tone even though it’s showing it as transposed by a half step.
The recorded trigs are the correct notes (e.g. C#), however playback is half a step down ©, or jumps to D if I transpose by half step.
Is there some global setting somewhere in a menu I’m missing? Am I going mad?! This problem has remained through various OS updates and basically makes the thing unusable.
I’ve calibrated it, cleared transpose etc. and still can’t get anything to actually record in the key I played it in.
I searched the forum but only came up with threads where transpose had been left on. I don’t think that is the issue here unless I’ve missed something.
Halp!
