My answer, (sober) is none of them. Because none of them do what I want, and personally really dislike the aesthetic and interface of all three.

I think it’s a little treasure trove of wonder. But you HAVE to like it’s quirks. I’ve owned, sold and regretted selling 3 of them. And like the OT there’s nothing directly comparable in a self contained hardware unit. I felt like I was in beautiful, creative bubble when using the Op-1. I simply sold them to try other things and each time it was the wrong decision (Insanity/repeating the same thing over and over with the same result)
But considering price, If you added an Akai Mpc One or Force to that list I’d go for one of those over the Op-1.

OP-1 but ideally you would want a USB midi host as well in order to sync them, although not strictly necessary it allows a lot more possibilities.
Deluge is great too, but perhaps a bit more overlap with OT, Circuit is ok but I got bored of it quite quickly, it is the most limited of the 3.

I’d like to mess with the Deluge since it is OT-like in that it can really do a lot, but the OP is cool, but I’d take the chance on the Deluge if you don’t mind the learning involved as I’m sure just learning all it’s parts would take time on it’s own and maybe the OP would be simpler.
Sticking to digital synthesis, I’d recommend the Digitone. Perfect aesthetic and ergonomics next to OT, huge palette of sounds, Multi Map for 128 drums and more, fast workflow suiting OT’s.
Drunk I prefer ukulele.

Does that work on the Desktop as well as the Keyboard?
given the smug superiority that Deluge owners seem to exuberate, I’d go for that in the hope to become one of them

The circuit is not bad as a drum machine. I’ve used it with the octatrack for drums and to help with transitions.
The synths are meh, but for what you get - drum machine, two synths, and a sequencer, compares to the price, its a bargain.
Can only talk about OP1.
The OP1 is really great fun. It’s a joy to play around with it. Love the endless sequencer.
But: I’m afraid this will be another piece of gear for me, where I create sketch after sketch, that never will get finished. I like what I do with it, but nothing I’m excited to turn into a full track…
I like using it standalone for its workflow. For using it as soundsource only for the OT, I’d say there are better sounding options
Why no Monostation?
Hey I got no beef with monostation!
I have OP-1, and I love it. But in terms of connectivity, it doesn’t seem to be able to go straight into the OT without some sort of middleman to boost it. So that’s kind of annoying. Somebody here mentioned using a usb midi host too, and I’m wondering if that might be worth it
Sure! I bought an Iconnectmidi2+ paid 35€, 2x2, routing, merging, filtering, processing midi…
I have to precise I didn’t used it yet, finally no usb (was planned), so I can’t say it’s working properly, anyway I prefer synths with good old din midi connection!
