Which filters in semi-modular synths

I plan growing my modular system with mostly semi-modular synths in future. So these weeks I make a little research for myself. What kind of filters have semi-modular synths? SEM, ladder, Steiner Parker etc.?

To clarify - are you looking for a list of the semi-modular synths and the filters they have?

For a Moogish flavor I’d go with the Moog Mavis, Grandmother, Matriarch or Mother 32

For a Steiner parker flavor I’d go with an arturia minibrute

For that 0-filter flavor I’d go with a make noise 0 coast

For a korgish flavor I’d go with the ms-20 - this one doesn’t exactly interface with other modulars pitch

There’s a company that makes a lot of semi-modular knock-offs, I can’t remember the name, but I bet someone here knows.

I’m a big fan of semi Modular synths. I have been using eurorack for almost a decade now and even though many people have said semi modular is great for beginners, I think it’s also great to be able to get sounds quickly while still using all the amazing modulators and effects in the eurorack format.

I don’t actually know of that many with an SEM style filter, but the Moog Labrynth has one.
Obviously you could go with other Moogs if you want the classic ladder filter.

For roland style filters, the Atlantis/Atlantix, or the Sytem 80 810 are good choices.

Arp 2600m has the 4072 and ladder style in it.

For some reason, I’m not the biggest fan of the Steiner parker filter so I don’t have any Arturia stuff.

avalon has a filter cartridge system (using original gameboy cartridges) where you can swap out the stock 303 filter for a 1) moog ladder 2) 101ish (r:ota), 3) sem or 4) korg/ppg (2044)

Yes. I need something like the list. Maybe I don’t know anything. So I didn’t see totally full typology of filters in Eurorack format. Some topics on Moddwiggler tried to do that. Also your own opinion is very important.

Polivoks filter in a number of erica synths and elta music devices.

My opinion is to listen to a bunch of things and buy the one that you love the sound of. Try it in person if at all possible. Some of the synths I’ve touched feel so cheap it’s impossible to ignore. Spend a year with it, just you and it in a dim room, no DAW, no sequencer.

I got into modular because I thought owning a filter module that claimed Moog lineage would be equivalent in having a Moog, this is not the case. It’s all bogus except the sound you’ll know.

I believe the oberhiem SEM had a SEM filter and semi modular variants
