I’ve got my beady eye on a vermona performer. I’m just making myself wait a few months to practice some self restraint.
I use the DT2/DN2 combo and when I’m jamming with these 2 I use re triggers and arp on/off a lot. without midi arp and retrig I’ll be disappointed sequencing the vermona.
I can imagine Digitone will get these updates eventually. I have an OPZ in a draw somewhere that I could use if not…

I think expanding the Midi features on these boxes makes them even more desirable as a main sequencing brain for a studio. Fingers crossed

Maybe with outbox around the corner, we’ll get an os update. maybe it’s more expansive, more than just compatibility with outbox.

I think the digitakt will get some sort of interesting big update, something that really changes the box. As it stands now the tonverk offers much more and only costs a bit more and it feels like they would need to differentiate these boxes. I live in hope.

Been using my DT2 with the MPC Sample…The latter is far better for funky beats (hate that term lol but the groove is perfect on it), something i never got right on the DT2…But obviously the DT2 is better on everything else. But tbh - they need a big update on the DT2 - maybe poly? I really dont want the DT2 to gather dust tho - as most things can be done in Ableton tbh

I think we are spoiled by other manufacturers for fast updates. I mean M8 users have prob had more updates in 6 months then an Elektrons entire lifecycle.
I would say move on to something else if its effecting your production and stop waiting for something that may not happen

Yeah I think they could put 4 notes of poly to really make use of the single cycles and add crossfade. This to me would still be focused machine and make it easier for chords and atmospheres. I don’t think it would be stepping on the tonverks toes as Tonverk has multi samples grainer, wavetables and lots of fx.
But I think they could add something no one expects and make it much more unique and really separate it from the tonverk.
I’m holding on to mine for a while longer but having a tonverk too means I’m just not using it.

I am terribly sorry but that’s probably more of a feature request thing whereas here we usually talk about love. Really don’t wanna sound mean or stiff, but you know - love transcends everything, including FX

You seem to be getting upset about this thread? Unless I’m miss reading sarcasm?
The question is why is the digi lineup not receiving any updates and it seems relevant to mention tonverk as it’s been getting lots. It also seems relevant as it’s capable of doing so much that a dt2 can do.
Owning a tonverk is not something I would brag about.
