Nope, your best bet is to just start experimenting with individual sounds and saving stuff you like. Eventually it will take you 5 secs to dial in the sound you want.
There aren’t too many (yet), but this one’s pretty good:
I reckon you have one of the most awesome drum machines ever made in your hands, you’ll have tons of your own presets soon enough that you made and love!
i’m pretty sure those are samples.
9.7 mb sysex???
don’t think so
it also says 16 bit/48 samples lol
and have you read that licensing agreement? its definitely samples. they couldn’t give me a license for a sound “created” on my synth. agreement is shady too
nice racket they have going
The only one I know of is the AR808 kit by Justin Valer. No samples on that one…
i really would love to have a patch manager for kits and sounds.
and a user webiste dedicated to share.
+1 It would be awesome to have a proper kit / project manager and a website dedicated to ElektronKits
Kind of a Blend.io but for Elektron Machines
i’m pretty sure those are samples.

A license is not really a safe way to tell if it has samples. There’s plenty of soundware that has licensing. Typically it’s just to say they don’t expect royalties on recordings made using those patches and that the license is non-transferable.
The AR808 kit by Justin is great, sounds amazing and its also very good for learning. You can look at the settings he has used and see how it affects the sounds, i was struggling to make the kick i was after but now I’ve learnt loads from this pack and its really helped my own sounds come on along way
again…
you should read the license…
it says more than that
and if it was a sysex patch…how could that be “licensed” to me? the created sound would be on MY machine. how would they know i didn’t make it myself? you are basically saying i should be copyrighting patches left and right and then i could sue anyone who came up with an identical patch.
the pack is samples… sysex aren’t 16bit/48k
I would love if someone who has purchased the kit would chime in here. My guess is it is a combination of samples and internal synth? I’d like to try this kit if only to peep the performance and scene setttings. Lots to be learned by playing around with presets.
The pack is just samples and scene/performance mode tweaks.
Also, it is quite intuitive to create your own kits on the Rytm, plus you have the advantage of knowing it’s something you created yourself. Just put some time into it!
i know that the rytm is inuative but i like to have like a 909 kit with no samples, that would be nice!
i prefere to start from presets and then tweak away from there
^^You bought the wrong machine. Sell the AR and get a TR8 if you want 909 sounds.
The Analog Rytm is far greater than a 909 or even an 808 drum machine. Use it as the innovative modern drum machine it is, and tweak some fantastic sounds out of the machine! The Rytm’s kick drum is super fat and the clap is nice and crisp. You can surpass the sound of the 909 with the Rytm, but you have to put effort into it.
We should get a petition going to get justin to make one.
Don’t be so paranoid about licensing agreements. The probability that someone will even listen to your music (any of ours) is small…coupled with the probability that they identify a sample was used AND decide to sue you…come on…
the tr 8 dose not sound analog. i want the analog tr 909 sound…
Maybe this then?
