What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

Yeah the SEM sounds incredible with the ribbon controller - just absolutely violin-like.

But whereas using the 2600 + modular is just incredible and intuitive, the SEM’s patch options seem limited and less obvious by comparison. I have a feeling I’ll be more inspired by a handful of select modules and that it’ll help be get better at sound design.

Phil Jones Bass BG-120.

I heard of it from pro fiddler Rob Flax, who posted this video review

I love how my electric violin sounds through it.

My JMJ Mustang bass has also been longing for a proper bass amp, and it, too, sounds wonderful through the Bass Cub, despite its cute little size. Much better than an amp modeler and FRFR speaker

You’ll never have money to spare with Eurorack hehe!

But it is very fun

Feels like Christmas!
Unintended purchased the MDUW+ that was also offered by the MnM UW+ seller for the best price I have ever seen so far (3rd MD now - uhhhh :grimacing:).

Plus the probably most expensive Cookie in my life.
After the first test drive of the combination: perfect IDM / Minimal dream (also for transitions in MD-sets).

The biscuit sounds absolutely unique compared to everything I have in my arsenal. Super excited to expand the journey from here on this combo.

Cheers

You syncing up the biscuit to the MD / MM steps? Always wanted one!! So pricey now

30-day trial.

I’ve been fully immersed in the Elektron ecosystem for over a year now, and I absolutely love the hands on feel and the sequencing power of these machines.
But I have to face facts, finishing a track on an Elektron is just too much of a slog for me when it comes to mixing and arranging, whereas I managed to produce an entire EP on the M8 in just a few weeks.

The goal for this month is simple, I need to decide if the MPC will officially replace my Elektron gear or if I’m just experiencing a moment.

Voltron it.

I’m tempted, but if I keep the MPC, it’ll be funded by the sale of at least two Elektron boxes.

Midi syncing is the plan :grinning:
Pricing is indeed insane (like all the other the stuff being out of production :expressionless:).

But I have to admit, how much more I like to work on those classic machines.

why do i feel like this is made for hapax?

mapping 12 slices of amen breaks and rotating them by velocity… insta breakbeats machine

midi implementation is pretty thorough as well for a eurorack module

Third time owning. The plan this time is to go deep into step components and the master track. I want to get super generative with it.

Ok after getting the modular stuff I started writing and couldn’t stop thinking that this track needed accordion, an instrument I learned like 20 years ago but then got rid of shortly after. I impulse bought a musty old Italian one on FB Marketplace and now here we are. Finally gave me a reason to get a TE CM-15 as well.

I went all in with two purchases : Jellymix and Tonverk.

Intentions : create a new music station with the Tonverk, PERfourMER and Jellymix.

Sounds like overkill for most, but I‘m sure you‘ll make something cool with it! Enjoy the ride :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:.

PS: Didn’t know that Jelly was already available in boring black :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

Something like this.

A Mono Synth (x4), a Tonverk, a Mixer and some pedals seem like a nice focused Workstation, no?

Nah, it’s only the sticker on the box.

I see what you did here.

Curious about what you’ll be creating with the Tonverk. I’m dangerously close to pulling the trigger on one as well.

Since the new additions and bug fixes, it was only a matter of time to repurchase the TV. I sold the Waldorf Protein when I saw the Wavefinder and what it can do.

Yeah that’s what got me really excited as well. Hardware dual wavetables with crazy p-locks: Yes please.
