What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 1)

Looks good, The Rytm is my favourite… one thing that gave me a headache at first was the choke groups, the best way to think of it as 8 tracks and only and the others are just extra if needed… it works for me anyhow

Totally feasible.

I actually like the choke groups. It makes perfect sense for hats, of course. And I was messing around with melodies on the sequencer and cutting them up live with chokes.

Occasionally, you will hear artifacts when choking.

Yeah they can be good, I’m more used to them now and no problem anymore

Little clicks and such? Yep, I’ve found that already, even cutting a track’s own sound with its own pad. But as I’m going to burying everything in noise and glitches, it becomes part of the music (at least for me haha)

Artefacts you say? You can hear them calling out?

My latest purchase was a Wi-Fi power plug.
I bought it because I got tired of constantly turning every box on and off every time.
Now I can turn on all of my synths with a single button on my phone or watches. And even with a voice command, schedule or any another smart trigger like people in the room.

what about just using a power strip instead of turning each box on individually? plug 'em all into the power strip and just turn it on/off. I’ve always done this. only trouble is when your setup grows and you have like four 'em to turn on!

although the voice command trick is of course much cooler! :+1:

I use a power strip.
A button under the table isn’t very comfortable and I don’t like to see wires as well. So I want to keep all my wires under the table if possible
Finally, I’ve connected the power strip through the new plug, and left it under the table where I don’t see it.

Well hello there.

It looks nice, can you explain, I’m curious.

Do you notice any noise? I got a wifi plug for the dj mixer and the speakers and it’s so cool but it introduced a bit of noise…maybe I need a better one

It’s a Mutable Instruments Ambika hybrid polysynth, built with my ideal filters and case.
