Whats your Cut Off Point when buying second hand gear?

Some times I’ve missed that window. Other times I’ll hold onto the item thinking that maybe I can make it work if I shuffle the studio. That thought process can result in an infinite loop - ha!

Anyway, in answer to the original post… Very Good is as low as I’d go for modern gear and consider other factors like price/shipping/photos.

Likewise though I just returned a $300 module to Perfect Circuit and they deducted $35 for shipping and handling - grrrrrr.

I just snagged an OT mk2 with a burned-in screen this morning. wouldn’t usually go below mint but got it for a good price soooo :cowboy_hat_face:

If you buy from Japanese sites like yahoo auctions, you can feel pretty confident with all of the above. I’ve bought a few things listed as “junk” simply because they were not extensively tested, and they ended up being basically mint. Of course you still need to read the description to find any known problems.
