if you buy something for a certain price and then exchange it for an identical item that isn’t faulty aren’t they supposed to give it to you for the original price you bought it for?

I had a problem with my monitor and exchanged it but they said I had to repurchase at the current price which was a $40 difference a couple of days from the original purchase… Identical item

usually they have you reorder by starting a return exchange, then it will say replace with identical item and it invoices you for $0 and warns you that you need to return the old one by X date or you’ll be charged for the new one.

Talk to Amazon about this directly.

Not going through the process, sounds like the seller is trying to pull one over on you.
