Does anybody know what size macOS is after a clean install? (Mojave to be specific)
I’ve read comments ranging from 8Go to 24 Go
I’d like to install it on a 16Go SSD with just Ableton, VCV, C6, a few vsts etc… no samples just light software. I do have another HDD for recording / storage purposes
Can I get away with it? How much free space is the minimum for the OS to operate correctly?

I regretted squeezing a Mojave recovery OS onto a 32gB USB stick. It works, but there are temp files and so on you need to cater for. So I would say that a 16gb install will be a pain to keep on top of if it is even workable. I am fairly sure the research I did pointed to it being possible on 16 but in reality after a normal install I vaguely recall the install being in the 20s. Either way, 32 was neat, for my purposes (adding only a few recovery utilities ! I would suggest 64 if you can or 32 minimum for comfort even if it can somehow be trimmed down to fit on 16. Google USB installs.
