Like a Blofeld but with more knobs and layering sounds.

edit: I didnā€™t know Blofeld can do multis, hmmā€¦

A OT MD MnM mash up. 16 track sequencer with 16 internal tracks and 16 midi tracks. 4 ins 8 outs super box. The one to rule them all. All digital and it will be called DPS-1 digital production station 1.

yes, Geneoart.
A digital box with 16 part sequencer configurable internal or external midi like in MD.
And a multi sound generator with synth (FM, VA,ā€¦) and sample with EFX and more.
Lots of non standard routingā€¦

I honestly hope the next thing they do will be an analog delay/space/filter/eq processor and accompanying foot pedalā€¦

Recently while programming :elan: I got an idea
Actually this is what I miss in A4 in order to be self contained:

  • overdrive effect (simple form of :heat:)
  • stereo samples playback (saving samples in kits)
  • digital FM machine
  • more patterns and more kits in a project

I donā€™t propose big 4 in 1 machine, just a hybrid evolution in the same form factor. It could be 3 voice analog, 1 digital and 1 sample tracks, whatever.
Very often what is needed in A4 is just that one sample or that weird FM sound.

An OP-1 style box, an all inclusive portable digital music production box with:

  • Onboard musical keyboard with velocity.
  • Function keys for every menu and function. Simplicity, workflow orientedā€¦
  • Machinedrum drum engine.
  • Monomachine synth engines.
  • Sampling engine from OT.
  • P-locks.
  • Sound-locks.
  • Sample-locks.
  • Radio receiver.
  • Accelerometer.
  • Bluetooth.
  • Wi-Fi.
  • No deep menu diving and clear graphic interface.
  • Latest stereo effects algos.
  • 8-track MIDI sequencer assignable to both synths and sampling engines.
  • 8-tracks of stereo audio recording.
  • Multiple tracks to one track bouncing.
  • On board mixing and mastering.
  • +Drive.
  • Amoled display.
  • 24 hours of battery life.
  • Easily exchangeable battery. Maybe a cartridge type found in DSLR cameras.
  • Overbridge.
  • Generous amount of ins and outs.
  • Instrument input.
  • Stereo mic inputs with 48v phantom.
  • Price around $1500.

 Would sell like hot cakes!!!I seriously hope Elektron gets out of the stompbox business and into the portable DAW business. Thatā€™s what the modern musician wants, not another stompboxā€¦ My 2 cents! Now come on!!!

Not all of us want a DAW in a box.

Youā€™re greatly overestimating the amount of people who buy high end electronic music gear.

Yeah, thatā€™s not at all similarā€¦

I think you would get it if Elektron made itā€¦

Itā€™s close! Also it exists!

Well if you would see how many OP1 units Teenage Engineering has pushed since 5 years backā€¦ Thing with the OP-1 is that itā€™s fairly limited in terms of sequencing. Plus Elektron already have the technology with their legacy products and OT. Elektron would knock it out of the park if they did anything similar to the OP1ā€¦

Thatā€™s not really Elektronā€™s specialty. They canā€™t help but do something all the way, which is difficult to do with portable travel-sized instruments
