Saves me more money for erica stuff :hugs:

I don’t know what’s next for Elektron except

1.) there will never be another OT
2.) DT (any incarnation) will never get manual slicing

Wait, weren’t you absolutely certain we’d get new device(s) in May just a few weeks back? With all the conviction of someone with special insider info?

Yeah! They lied to me as a joke :face_with_peeking_eye:

This reminded me of how I got my RYTM Mk2. I usually don’t let anybody to peak inside my conversations, but after some weighting I think that I can share this one small part of message from Elektron that I got some time ago:

We were aware of the mistake since it was a miscalculation in our system that went live for an hour in the webshop for Poland only. The price we put in the webshop is what we sell it for and this was a crazy low price, yes. : ) We think you should call it luck instead and of course keep the Rytm to continue making noise with it. Congratulations to the best deal ever made for a new one!

I truly got my RYTM for Crazy price. Then I realised that it was wrong for me to exploit this opportunity so I wanted to set things straight and this is how Elektron responded. And I still can’t believe how they responded to me, to just roll with it and call it luck.

I don’t want to suggest anybody to try my luck, but if you want, you have to exploit your GAS regularly, visiting their pages, like I did, almost like a teenager looking at poster of a dream car. This is how I got my RYTM at a price that I couldn’t pass.

Cordially and… good luck, I guess! :]

Is Zimbabwean dollar still a thing?

crazy price you mean euro 169 instead of euro 1699?

Close, but a little bit more. Still, A LOT less than used mk1 in poor condition (I would guess: not even half of that). I cannot stress enough how LUCKY I was. :]

Yes very lucky and Elektron been very generous !

I too have been fantasizing about Elektron Mother Sequencer (see "Mother sequencer"?).

Simply put a sequencer that goes beyond the limits of current seqs of Elektron machines.

To me these include at least:

  • enough midi outsputs to connect more gear
  • much longer patterns - pattern could be a whole song section, for example 32 bars long
  • much flexible song mode (for example chance to loop song-sections)
  • possibility so send PC-messages right before pattern changes

Also would be worth considering:

  • chance to load and run two songs simultaneously and independently. This makes possible to have smooth, continuous live set without interruptions. (Squarp Hapax has this)

the random lfo is ace once you understand that using the hold mode you can have a random value to a certain degree but holded to a complete trig and changed only to a new trig, otherwise yes it’s the classic computer noise fx

Yo! Curious to know if it can stream more than one device at a time

Same. Would be sick if you could use an IPAD+ Overhub as a multitrack recorder for an entire Elektron rig!

Even if it was limited to one device at a time, that’s a breakthrough. Also, if everything is tempo synced, no problem to record separate multitrack takes of each device while specifically changing parameters manually on each device in turn.
